Year 12s: what will be the first way you research your future options? >>

EEE at Surrey or Bristol

Hey guys, just couple of questions!! well I was expecting to get an offer from imperil for EEE and had my interview on 25th of march, Although no good news. So now it is me and surrey and Bristol . which one do you think is better in overall? I mean the good thing about surrey is that it s closer to London but apart from that which one do you think academically is better?

Rankings are not definitive, but they can be helpful, take a look at those. Have you been to both? If you particularly liked one over the other then maybe that should be your choice. Also I'd suggest having a look at the departmental websites, see if you find the areas of research at one more interesting than the other - although this is probably more relevant if you're planning to do a masters or beyond. I don't know if Bristol offers an industrial year, but that can be a big draw for some (Surrey does).
