A-level student that wants to do Economics at uni

Hi, i study Maths, Economics, History and Govt & Politics at AS-level, and i have a few questions, where it would be great if answered.
1) Have any of you been accepted for an A*AA Economics course, even though you only got 3A's at the end (just asking because anything can happen that can make you miss 90UMS).
2) If i apply for Economics & Politics at uni but drop AS Politics (since History is more respected), would universities understand, or would they think i lack interest in politics?
3) are 3A*s 7As at GCSE enough to get into the top 10 unis?

Can't answer number one. For number 2, there are plenty of people who do politics without a-level politics, so don't see why this should be a problem. For the third question, of course there are. I didn't have gcses and got into a top 10 uni

What course do you do? And yeah i know a lot of people do both economics and politics without studying its a-levels, but im different because i do study them and im thinking about dropping it for A2 and then doing it again in uni
