[QUOTE=Mathsqueen;56426485]So I have the dreaded 2 hour 15 minute aqa english lang gcse exam tomorrow, and I can never get round to finishing all the questions because my hand begins to hurt a lot and I end up spending 50% of the time giving my hands a break.

Can anyone offer me any advice on how to write a lot without your hand hurting?
English and History A level students should be good at/used to this!

It's a stupid question, but I need to know how :frown:

I'm History A2 and my advise would be make sure your pen has grip otherwise you have no hope

A way of preventing/making it less is if you hold your pen a little less tightly. Learnt from 3 hour written computing exam. :sigh:

Yep, that 3 hour computing exam... use a weakened grip, don't grip all hell out of the pen, all it does is kill. Move your writing position, sit forward, then sit back and alternate positions, don't keep your arm in one place, this just causes arm ache and a pain in hand, and every 30mins/60mins take a few seconds break, have a drink/stretch hands.

If all of that doesn't work then you'll just have endure it
