Music Practice Rooms (MUMS)

Hello,

I am not a music student; I am a linguistics student. I am staying at a private let and I just wan't somewhere to practice my saxaphone for an hour or two each week away from my neighbours.

I don't want to have to rent out a big room intended for a band. I have signed up to the Manchester University Music Society a month ago as their practice rooms are open to all students of an evening not just music students.

I was turned away because the Music Society were all off on a jolly(I mean Konzert) in Berlin and cards havn't been set up despite the rooms being empty. Anyway no answer to emails yet maybe when the term starts at the end of September/Early October.

Does anyone else know of any cheap practice spaces for solo instrumentalists?
