Proton NMR question

Sometimes when answering a question on proton NMR, i get the structure correct but in the reverse order of the mark scheme. I was just wondering how one should know whether the structure goes from left--right, rather than right---left.

Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers

Unless you're asked about stereochemistry then it doesn't matter whether a structure is drawn from left to right or right to left as the splitting pattern will be the same. Have in mind that molecules are spinning and flipping all the time.
