GCSEs are getting harder. While I appreciate that the questions will be harder, would it have a big impact on the grade you get. Basically if the exam is harder grade boundaries will drop. So your ranking basically determines your grade rather than the amount of marks you get.

I've moved your thread to a more appropriate section in the hope you get some more answers.
GCSEs seem to actually fluctuate year-to-year imo, for example. Last year's French reading exam for Edexcel seemed very easy compared to years before. It's the luck of the draw!
