Is there KS3 content in the GCSEs?

Mainly for the sciences/geography/computing and other compulsory KS3 subjects. Obv subjects like History will probably be different.

There is definitely overlap as it acts as a foundation for those subjects at GCSEs. You obviously go into more detail and some concepts will be completely new as well but certainly for science and geography the KS3 content does act as a foundation for GCSE.

Like @flowersinmyhair said, KS3 content will set the basis for a lot of gcse subjects - for essay subjects like history and english, it's likely that you will use the KS3 skills more than content unless if you were studying the same texts/topics in KS3 + GCSE.

But for content-based subjects, many subjects build up from the basics, especially maths and science - because a lot of new topics will use certain skills or info from previous years and go through them in further detail.
