I spoke to some of my English teachers and they said the most they will deduct is 3 marks.

For Q1 I think I got 9/15 for reading and 3/5 for writing - 12/20

For Q2 I think I got 7/10

And for Q3a I think I got 15/15 and for part (b) 3/5 - 18/20

Hopefully I get 30+ on the paper. I only need maximum 35/50 for an A* overall

I got a mid B and a high C. I need 48/50 according to June 2015 boundaries for an A* lol

That's the most. It doesn't mean they definitely will deduct 3. As for the why, I don't know, they didn't say and I forgot to ask. I wouldn't worry about it too much, they might be wrong.

So your 25/30 will be converted into out of 25 which will be 20/25. This number will be added to the coursework that's out of 50 so 20 + 40 = 60 so you would need 46/50 for an A* according to last year june 2015 boundaries and 36/50 for an A so not too bad.
