CCEA AS Chemistry 2016 Thread

How did you all find the practical on Tuesday?

Been revising flat out for chemistry since the practical (which went ok) and can't remember anything, completely freaking out and haven't even started my other subjects :frown:

I haven't really started revision for booklet B yet (scared af right now). With other exams i feel like I have absolutely no time.

It seems so hard because there isn't a set syllabus. If you do all the past papers at least and understand the answers for everything, you'll do fine. I started yesterday and I think with steady revision we'll be fine for it...

Does anyone know if c.e.t (carry error through) applies to the moles questions in booklet B? In the old markschemes it specified but doesn't say anything about it in the new ones...

1) % by mass: 3.96%
I don't know the numbers of the questions but there was a % yield of 32.4 i think and a mass of 15.4 i think as well (where you were given density and volume).

I though the paper was a bit different. I got iodoform for one of the questions and then propan-2-ol for the organic compound.

Did you get any of the same?
How are you preparing for chemistry unit 1? Any predictions?
