Prostitution is the oldest profession and it will always be there. Why? Supply and demand.

It is not older than farming.
Fact is prostitution and escorting as seen a as glamorous, but it is the opposite, so by criminalizing we can solve a lot of problems.

Its probably not as old as farming and cultivating. But its still a pretty old profession.
-There were prostitutes in the ancient egyptian, roman, greek, chinese, persian times. Heck there were even prostitutes in Arabia (before Islam)

Brothels are horrible places, and drug use is associated with prostitution.

I think that's where Lamar Odom nearly died.

Anyone who doesn't fit your notion of the ideal citizen seems to come under fire from you - the poor, the homeless, single mothers, prostitutes, escorts and most of the time your facts are wrong. What's the matter? We don't live in a perfect world or do you want everyone who doesn't fit your vision of the perfect human being to be penalised/criminalised and shunned by society? That is how you come across. Of course, your avatar of that slimy George Osborne doesn't help.
Nope

what I have nothing against the poor or the homeless, but I was just point out a few bad apples.
Agreed, but that does mean that we should at least try and improve our society for the better.
I think tsr members are scared to agree with me

In my 68 years, I have been poor, I have been homeless and I have been a divorced/widowed/single mother of 7. Who and how do you decide who is a "bad apple"? You are making generalisations about whole swathes of the population which you know little or nothing about.
Original post by Blue_Mason
Indeed it is and I think prostitution and escorting are crimminal acts.

Well, you're wrong.

This is "I wouldn't, therefore you mustn't", isn't it?

What else should adults be stopped from choosing to do with consenting partners?
Prostitution is just a symptom of a sick society , the freak criminals are politicians that drive this women's where they are , well some women's are prostituts against their will , driven by pauvrety ,abusing family's , and lots other problems , but some are only driven by gossip , money and evil , and surprisingly the last ones make lots of money going out with the real criminals ( bankers , politicians , big cats ), I mean the routes of the problem is always the system .

People should not be selling their bodies and claiming a nontaxable income.
It is the same as selling drugs

as of 2015 it has been registered as a beneficiary of the tax system so drugs and hoes are now taxed
EDIT- my opinion on the legality is that it should be legal

It is immoral, it's a sin

Here we observe the "MY religion says it's immoral therefore NO ONE should be allowed to do it, even if they don't follow that religion" excuse.

Why don't you just let people make up their own minds and choices instead of using your outdated beliefs to force an agenda on people?

Not controversial- bigoted. In order to have an opinion on the subject, you have to be in possession of at least the bare facts and figures. Simply stating that prostitutes are criminals won't make it so because you say so.
