Transferring at Deloitte London

I plan to do the apprenticeship route at Deloitte, I'm smart enough for a top rate uni but don't see the point, but i am concerned. The sectors available to join are financial advisory, tax consultant, management consultant and then audit/risk assessment. I wish to become a management consultant, but want the ACA as it is a better qualification than CIMA imo. So, if i were to do ICAEW/ACA which i can do in any except management consultant, what pays best and links best to Management. I say this as i may take this path in the end, so pay is a good idea of my opportunities for the best career. Then, how would i go about transferring to management consultant? i don't want to waste time on CIMA as i would have done ACA, so can i transfer to consulting at a higher level than analyst, or would i have to restart my career to become a management consultant?
