How many marks would they subtract for not stating c>0 (whilst rest of the question being correct) ?
For question 6, length of PQ... how did people get 4sqrt(17)?
I'm a retake student. Thought this paper wasn't too difficult, definitely less so than last year, but there were lots of places where you could trip up here. Not so confident about getting around 75, but I'll see how it comes out. Despite me being a retake student, nothing in this paper could have been done by A2 methods, so overall, I would say grade boundaries, you'd be looking at around 63-65 for an A.

Having said that, it is likely that a lot of people have tripped up without realising, so there may be a chance that the boundaries could be lower. In any case, I wouldn't get my hopes up.

If I didn't simplify my answers would I lose a mark?
Eg. For one of the questions I left it as square root 272, i didn't simplify it
What was question 7? Was it an integration where c = -88?
There are model answers on youtube now.

Haha guys we all messed up. for the question where you had to find the range of c, c was a POSITIVE CONSTANT so you had to do c>5+3rt(2), c<5-3rt(2) AND c>0 for the full marks. Ouch

I think it was a 5 marker so it makes sense :frown:

Did anyone else get 123/20 or something for the area of a triangle (Q8)? What was everyone's coordinates for S and T?

Ive got 123/4
(2,0) and (12.5,0) as the intersection point
