St Andrews economics or economics with finance

I’m going to apply to uni soon and was just wondering which course was better regarded in public opinion?

St Andrews offers Economics or Financial Economics, you can switch to either once you pass 2nd year, so which one you apply to isn't that important.

Ah alright thank you for clearing that up. Also what are your thoughts on the international honours to Virginia degree?

Do you mean the BA (International Honours) degree with the College of William and Mary in Virginia?

Just what your thoughts on the course are and if it would be worthwhile or if it’s too expensive

Have a few friends who are on the course and they seem to enjoy it. They like how they can experience both liberal arts education in the states and a British education here.

However, one or two have tried to stay at St Andrews instead of being on the BA (Int Hons), however in order to do so, they had to apply to the university all over again (even though they were at St Andrews already). Unfortunately the people I knew were rejected and were forced to stay on the programme even though they didnt want to. Nevertheless, after spending a year in Virgina, they're glad things worked out the way they did.

One thing to note is that, if you're on the programme with W&M, tuition is significantly more expensive and all four years count towards your degree grade (rather than just the honours years at St Andrews).
