so basically i am in yr 11 and after my gcses i want to gain some experience
- working in hospitals
- care homes
does anyone know any good places or good links to places thanks

Where are you in the country?

A lot of hospitals, especially teaching hospitals, will run a work experience programme that you can apply for. Google hospitals local to you and 'work experience', or speak to your school. If they don't run a work experience programme or have a dedicated coordinator, you can often find the contact details of consultants or their secretaries online, and get in touch with them directly. This is how I managed to get hospital work experience, outside of their usual programme.

If you can't get work experience, most hospitals have volunteers who do a range of things, so you could get in touch regarding that.

In terms of care homes, just contact them. They may have volunteering schemes set up, but even if they don't they might let you go in for a week or so for work experience.
