A-level maths help.

I am doing a question: A particle of mass 6 Kg is initially at rest and is then acted upon by a force R = (ai + 10j) N on a bearing of 300 degrees.

a) find the exact value of A.

well, I drew it out and I can equate it, by using Tan but I'm not sure about the angle. Do I use Tan being 60 degrees or Tan being 300 degrees?

It depends how you’ve labelled your diagram. A compass bearing of 300 is 60 degrees anti-clockwise from the upwards vertical direction or 30 degrees clockwise from the leftwards horizontal direction.
can someone please help me finish this??

This.

Although next time, Try and help the OP rather than giving them the answer as it helps them learn better when they can do it for themselves

Isn’t the answer -10sqrt(3)
