I was wondering if the same poem or passage in the set text can come up as previous years. I do the Song Of Ourselves 1 and last year the poem was 'Heidi With Blue Hair' and 'The Trees Are Down.' Should i not bother learning them as I think they are unlikely to come up twice in a row

I think it would be much better for you to learn the poetic devices rather than individual poems. It will save you a hell of a lot of stress and anxiety.
There is a really good thread on here in which a TSR member has provided a word document covering the main poetic devices to know. I suggest you check it out, and shift your focus from learning selective poems to learning how to apply specific devices to any poem that the exam board can throw at you.

Hi there. But we only have 45mins in the exam to write a 3 page essay. I prefer to learn poems individually if it gives me that little bit of extra time in an exam
