Cambridge Engineering to Investment Banking in London?

I'm in Y12 and I aspire to go Cambridge or at least a top 15 university to study engineering. What should I do to prepare for my jump from a graduate with an engineering degree to working in the investment banking world?

Get your offer and enjoy, once at uni build your CV through societies and you'll be fine!

How about work experience? Should I do a bit every summer to accumulate a good amount of experience? From what I've seen, work experience REALLY helps as well as a degree from a top uni.
