Soas Economics & Arabic
Heyo im a foundation year student at SOAS and I’m thinking about what I want to study next academic year and was thinking of doing either pure econ or joint econ & Arabic. Due to the fact that I’m from the 2020 cohort, things didn’t turn out as expected so I didn’t get the chance to look into the next steps here.
For the year abroad, is it safe in places like Morocco? How do the fees work? Is accommodation expensive? Are there dorms at the institute? I’m a Muslim woman so my parents aren’t convinced that I should pursue this degree because of the year abroad alone so it would be good if I could share dorms or something yk? I also wanted to know if people just saved up and went on the year abroad or if they sought work there?also, is the year abroad still compulsory at SOAS?
