I recently got an offer to study at Durham, however for a different course to the one I applied for (one I don't want to do).
I've heard this is quite common, that they do this as a form of rejecting applicants.
Has anyone else had this and, on results day, called them to swap course?
Thanks.

I know a few people who had this happen to them and then negotiated swapping courses in the first term

That being said, success isn't exactly guaranteed
