hey, considering applying to south thames deanery, Guys and St Thomas' in particular. I know South thames isnt that competitive but just wondered if anyone knew if the jobs at Guys and St Thomas' are competitive ?

Yes they are, GSTT is very popular. You generally won’t be able to do both years there - they have a one-year-in-London, one-year-outside-of-London policy

Would GSTT be more popular than say North London ? How do you find out average scores for acceptance to GSTT as south Thames as a deanery is quite low making it not that competitive?

I’m not sure that information is published, as it’s difficult to actually clearly show a hospital’s popularity - it comes down to how many jobs there are in that hospital and how many people within the deanery rank those posts highly…. but how you would actually demonstrate that, I’m not sure. To your specific request though, I’ve never seen a hospital publish the FPAS scores of all their trainees
