I was confused as it said that we would hear by 31st April but there isn’t even 31 days in April!

exactly, that's why i thought it would have sent yesterday coz there's no 31 days in april, but in the guidance doc, it says 30th as well. but i'm relieved that both of you haven't received anything yet

I think that I want to apply to the natural science course at Cambridge and then either specialise in cell biology or chemistry. I would love to become a cancer researcher but part of me wants to be a secondary school teacher 🙈 What do you want to do?

Bio NatSci is of interest to me too! I am more leaning towards Genetics or maybe Pharma/Pathology/Bio Chem or Chem. Not sure if I prefer research or industry yet.

The ASTP is so closely related to my interests it would be amazing ’work experience’ for me. It sounds ideal for you too! Fingers crossed we get in or at least get a reply lol

That's really cool. I want to apply to do biochemistry/Natural sciences at Cambridge too. I want to become a clinical biochemist or work in pharmacology/pathology. I'm not rlly sure yet, i think it's hard to decide coz obviously i have never done biochemistry before. But yh, the ASTP will help me out a lot to decide

My A levels are Biology (AQA), Chemistry (AQA), Maths and Further Maths (Edexcel)

Which A levels are you studying?

I do Biology (OCR A), Chemistry (OCR A), Maths and Further maths (Edexcel). I've heard the AQA bio course is difficult because of the essays. I did gcse french and that was enough for me haha

They've added me to the waiting list. I didn't think 830 people who apply for 10 places, so it makes me feel better that I'm not like the minority, if you get me?

I didn't get in either. I was about to have a little cry but then saw that 830 people applied so I don't feel as bad. I got put on the waiting list but tbh I doubt that I'll actually get a place from it.
