matrices vectors and R^n

I was wondering what R^2,R^3,R^4,R^n means in terms of vectors.
for example a question: with𝐮=(0,2,2,-1) and 𝘃=(1,2,1,0) both in R^4 find....

Each element/component of the vector is real, so you have 4 real dimensions so R^4.
