Edexcel IGCSE English Language coursework help

I recently submited my coursework to my school (26th March) but have since then done a plagiarism test on it and one of my pieces came up as plagiarised. I obviously didn't intend to plagiarise and have several iterations of my coursework as proof - as well as any changes to the coursework being in direct response to feedback. Is it worth my asking my school if I can resubmit my coursework now with an updated version which isn't plagiarised to ensure I don't get penalised / disqualified? The final due date for my school to submit their marking is 15th May.
