BUT there are 119 "ester linkages" formed with the elimination of a water molecule.
So the final mass of the polyester must be the mass of the 200 monomer molecules MINUS the mass of 199 water molecules.

Why is the moles taken to be 200
nobody mentioned moles.
The question is about the relative mass of a polymer, which is made up of 200 monomer units.
