Hi I'm taking my igcses in 2 weeks, is there any advices on how to keep your grades during mock (since i think i did pretty well back then but after covering all the topics from the specification I doubt ill be able to get the same grades as i did during mocks)
ive been doing a lot of past paper but to be fair its not going in. heres my grades from mock bio 7 physics 8 chem 8 math 7 business A eng lan B eng lit A geo b mandarin A
Hiya, been a while since I did my GCSEs but when I did them I was doing quite well in the mocks, but I did better in the actual exam in the end. Mocks are a good assessment of where you are right now but don't necessarily rely on them. I always wanted to do better than I did in the mocks. It depends on the day and the exam but if you are doing well now, then that is an excellent sign. I wish you the best!
If you do a lot of revision between your mocks and your real exams, as most people do, then it's quite common to go up a grade, sometimes even two grades.
That being said I've seen some people crumble under the pressure and go down, but that's rarer.
