A-level maths help :(

I am so confused as to what they did in part C. So any help would be much appreciated.

Can you upload the ms youre talking about?
It looks reasonably straightforward to use b) (and a) to get c? The sign of sin() will affect the sign of the phase offset "a"

Another way to look at it, and it is a useful fact to know, cos(-x) = cos(x) and sin(-x) = -sin(x).
So really from (b) you are just replacing theta with -theta.

That said, your "solutions" will be in a different range. You'll need to adjust it (how?).
