A level physics help

Can someone please explain how you work this out?

The force on a car increases linearly from ON to 500 N over 4 seconds. Calculate the car's change in momentum.

Thank you

try plotting a graph of F against t... it would be a straight line thru the origin... change in momentum = force * time so that's the area under the graph
if u don't want to plot a graph then just use the equation and the average force over the time period
