Cycling Question

Hello,
I was wondering if cycling with a mask is dangerous for breathing?
Also is gear 1 intensive on a bike?
Thanks

Hi there,

From what I understand, gear 1 is the lowest gear on a bike, and as you increase the gears, it gets harder to put the pedals, although this does mean you will travel a further distance with less rotations. With regards to your other question, according to https://www.cyclingnews.com, a mask would make it more difficult to breathe through, and the built up moisture would make the journey uncomfortable. They suggest a stretchy neck gaiter to pull over the nose and mouth if in close proximity to someone (based on previous covid procedures).

Hope that helped! Have fun cycling

In gear 1, unless you're cycling up a big hill or going extremely slowly, your legs will be spinning round on the pedals very quickly :run:
