Help a level maths

Hey for this q for part b I got x to equal 0.709… on my calc and it’s in radians mode too so idk why the markscheme says x equals oneIMG_2678.jpegIMG_2679.jpegIMG_2680.jpeg

tan(pi/4)=1
tan(pi^2/4^2) = 0.709...

So I subbed y into here
X=tan(pi/4)^2

You did
tan((pi/4)^2)
so you squared pi/4 to get pi^2/4^2 and callculated tan of that. The question says
(tan(pi/4))^2
so square the result of tan(pi/4) which is 1.
