GCSE grade

Hi guys, I would like to ask if I got a grade C for my GCSE science in 2016, does it equivalent to a grade 5?

grade 5 is the equivalent of like grade C -B.

this is what the government website says:
U = U
1 = F - G
2 = F - E
3 = D - E
4 = C
5 = C - B
6 = B
7 = A
8 = A*
9 = A*

hope this was helpful :smile:

Hello, thank you for your reply:smile: so does it mean my grade C from the old grading system can be equivalent to either a grade 4 or 5 coz back then they don't state on the certificate whether you got a high C low B or C...

from what i understand, a C is a standard pass, which is the equivalent of a 4. a C+ is a strong pass, which is equal to a 5.

there's not much in it though tbh, and there's quite a lot of confusion about the whole thing. i found a bbc news article that probably explains it better than i can lol
