my end of third year medical school exam result

i scored 67% (81/120)
I was resitting year 3 and the pass mark was 59%

thinking about it now, there were 3 questions that I didn't select the correct answer for but I did know the answer just because of the stress and anxiety, I didn't select the right one . I knew what was the right answer because I did work hard during the year but the stress made me change my answers at the last minute

I worked very hard
Please be honest is this something to be proud of?

That’s why

I want to specialise in ophthalmology (eye surgery) and i’m not sure whether my score is good enough for that

I don't know much cause vibe just finsihed a levels and wanna apply for medicine, but in my mind if you've passed you've passed? do your scores in medical school affect what you want to specialise in?

We don’t know is the answer. If most of the cohort scraped through with little more than the 59% required then you did well. If however they have all got in the realms of 75% and more, then your result is less good. It’s all relative. You passed which is the most important thing! For the moment don’t dwell on anything else and just relax after a hard year.

Yes, you've passed - well done, congrats, and be proud of your achievement.

Exam technique is a learning process. Some people (I include myself in this group) get the right MCQ answer on the first go and rarely gain from changing their answer. If you're finding that this is also the case for you, you just need to train yourself to not change your answers at the last minute. It will get easier with practice.
