Data science Bsc good for investment banking?

Hello.
I will be studying data science Bsc at LSE in September. Does anyone know how well this would set me up for an investment banking job, provided I get spring weeks and internships during university.

Basically, am I at a large disadvantage trying to get into IB compared to someone doing an Economics Bsc ??? I know econ is preferred, but how desired/respected is a degree in data science for IB, as surely it is incredibly relevant still (to the banking/finance sector), so a degree in data science shouldn't hinder my ability to get into IB

What were your stats applying for this ?
