uni of brighton or portsmouth?

i'm looking to find out more about the environment and what student life would be like at uni of brighton and uni of portsmouth. i'm looking to study animation so if anyone knows anything about the animation course at either place that would be great, but if you have any general info about the unis and their surroundings, culture, general experience etc i would love to hear.
