Bristol Economics for Chartered Accounting at a Big 4 Firm?

I am wondering if this degree would be suitable to get into a big 4 CA firm as this is what I want to pursue. Should I be taking a course more directed and focused on accounting such as A&F or Economics and Accounting or will pure Economics suffice?
I know someone who did an accountancy grad scheme at a big 4 firm with a degree in history and politics. Cannot emphasise how much it does not matter.

The only difference is for accounting degree grads, where due to having exemptions from some of the professional exams they follow a slightly different track I'm the grad scheme as I understand it. Doesn't factor into whether they are selected for it directly as for as I'm aware.

For a potential trainee in CA firm economics at a university such as Bristol is probably a better choice than A+F so long as you enjoy it as you will learn additional skills without any real delay in qualifying in the profession.
