what are fluxes in geography?

im currently doing the water cycle in geography, and im a bit confused about what the difference between a flow and a flux is in geography. could anyone explain the difference to me? thank you!

a flux is the rate of flow so like carbon fluxes are the rate of carbon flowing between stores if that makes sense. use seneca learning for geog as i found that the most useful to learn and revise
