AS Level Law paper 1 OCR

The OCR spec honestly confuses me.

I am meant to sit an AS Level Law paper 1 towards the end of November so I can get my predicted grade (private candidate). I had dropped out of college awhile ago so never got to know all the topics I need specifically for the AS papers (for mocks my teacher made up her own questions).

So something I’ve noticed is that in AS you don’t get the option of 2 questions in section A right? - but my teacher had skipped a topic (access to justice) that means I should revise as it could come up or…?

Also can someone who does/did A Level law OCR write down a list of all the topics I need to know for the AS paper 1? Eg section A: Lay people: juries and Magistrates, civil courts and appeal etc…

And if it’s not too much trouble, as section B in AS is really short (only OAPA problem and evaluation) is there anything else I should know? Like the basics (actually Reus, mens rea, omissions etc)? And if so what kinda questions could come up? Aren’t these things more like some extra knowledge I need to know to include in 20 mark problem questions in A2?

So I most likely need a structure of the whole paper, past papers I found for AS weren’t as useful and the A Level ones…

Would appreciate any help!

hi!! i sat the as paper in may so i 100% know how to help (i hope at least lol)
https://www.ocr.org.uk/Images/587304-specification-accredited-a-level-gce-law-h418.pdf - amazing website what i used to revise (im predicted A* this year so this 100% helps)

for paper 1: legal system and criminal law -
legal system:
civil courts and other dispute resolution
criminal courts and lay people
legal personnel
access to justice
Criminal law:
general elements of crime (so ur mens rea and actus reus)
non-fatal offences ( so S39 CJA 1988 and S47, 20,18 of OAPA 1861)
evaluation of those acts "how would you make s20 morally acceptable" - something along the lines of that
my non fatal offences flash cards - https://quizlet.com/hk/828145023/a-level-law-ocr-paper-1-non-fatal-offences-flash-cards/?i=3girds&x=1jqt
(i also have more ocr as level law on my quizlet if you need)

paper 2:
law making:
parliamentry law making
delegated legislation
statutory interpretation
delegated legislation
law reform
EU law
tort law:
negligence
occupiers liability
some remedies
(they might ask for an evaluation of occupiers liability)

Thank you so so much!! You sent the link from the specification! Is that what you used to revise?

Do you have any other advice for law? Really aiming for that A*!

hi! its alright hehe i did use the specification website - quizlet helped sm cos it was less time consuming some people like writing down tho x i would usually argue in the scenario questions which section it is so like s18 or s20 (arguing gets u more marks from what ive seen im predicted A*'s) like if your arguing like it could be s20, however it could be s18 because of specific intent - like stuff like that. xx if you need any more help just keep replying to this thread or my insta is aleishaamarshh

What did you use to create those quizlet other than the textbook. Also how do you know which topic is for which question, I had a look at your quizlet, the notes were there but if I memorised them like that I would never know what piece of that I need for a question. And did you go straight to quizlet ot make notes first
