my favourites were Anthony Horowitz and Jacqueline Wilson. I also loved Frances Hodgson Burnett, Erin Hunter, Roald Dahl, Phillip Pullman, Joan Aiken and Enid Blyton, amongst others whom I can't recall right now... a lot of the big names.

I liked to read the German fairytales by the Grimm brothers. Otherwise I didn't read so much as children.
