Thoughts on retail management apprenticeship

Hi I would like your thoughts please on a retail manager apprenticeship. Is it worth doing is retail as stressful as people think it is. Can a successful career occur. This isn’t me saying goodbye to a career in IT after carefully considering what to do next and apprenticeship limitations in computing do you think this is a step down…

There are lots of respected well paid careers in retail management. A successful manager is a business leader at whatever level they are at. In my experience it is a demanding role, with people issues associated with customers and staff, supply chain problems and the relentless pressure of sales targets. I would only go down this route if it appeals to you (which it seems it doesn’t) and in an area of retail where you have an interest
