English language paper 2 exam !!

Hi so I did an exam today for gcse english language
We were asked to write a speech for section B which is our own writing , however I didn’t start with good morning or end with thank you for listening !!
Is this a major problem for examiners ?

not really tbh, those are just trivial formalities. as long as it's clearly a speech, it won't limit your marks.

I didn't do that in my gcse, didn't even know people wrote that, and I got a 9, i dont typically imagine a speech beginning or ending with either. As long as the introduction set up your writing to sound like a speech of some sort regardless you're more than fine
