Entrepreneurship at Kingston University

For the eighth year running, Kingston University has been rated amongst the top two most successful UK higher education institutions for graduate start-up companies

Kingston University has a range of entrepreneurship opportunities for students interested in pursuing starting and running their own business.

The university provides several Enterprise Education programmes through workshops and events giving students a chance to learn about self-employment, freelance, entrepreneurship and business start-up. There are great opportunities to develop your own ideas and to network with like-minded students.

The Bright Ideas Competition is way to turn ideas into cash! With prizes from £250 to £1000 available you receive student-focused business and freelance support ranging from: mentoring, funding opportunities, one-to-one support, masterclasses and competitions.

It is open to all students at the university. A business idea or plan is not required to enter either, nor do you need any business knowledge. Entries can be made individually or as a team.

The Nest is Kingston Universities incubation space for student and graduate entrepreneurs who want to move their business to the next level. Their aim is to speed up growth within their graduate businesses. Here you can receive legal accountancy, marketing support, accountability sessions, possibility of a shared office space and mentoring.

Kingston University also endorse the Start Up Visa, aimed at international students and recent graduates who want to obtain a visa to set up a business in the UK.
