I'm not sure what gcse options to pick and will they really matter?

Hi, they won't matter that much to be honest!!! Just pick what you like at this point because you're much more likely to do well in them as you'll be more motivated. Also, if you end up applying to a competitive uni course or whatever, the grade will probably matter more than the subject and lots of things you can pick up at A Level without having studied at GCSE (including academic subjects like Geography and more creative subjects like Art). Basically, don't worry about it too much and go with your gut!
