Hey, I actually emailed GMFJ about that and they told me that the link in the email to sign up is ISIMS this is what they sent me.
“Yes I can confirm if you created an account using that link then you have signed up to ISIMS 😊”

How did you guys who got to the final interview find it?

It was good, there were two interviews and the interviewers are really nice and relaxed. It’s more like having a convo with them. They ask the generic motivation and strengths based questions so it wasn’t too bad!

That’s nice to hear I’m sure you did well. Did they make you speak about your projects?

Thank you! No they didn’t but I would recommend having them to use as examples anyway. I know they had multiple interview dates did you get invited?

Yh. The job description doesn’t really give a lot of information about the solutions that we will be implementing. Do you think it will involve coding. building projects, analysing data etc or do you think it’s more of a tech support role?

No it doesn’t! I think it’s both I know that they have a specific solutions building team in the rotations and we get to specialise after rotations across the different solutions team so I believe it’s what you want out of the role. I hope it’s more building projects and coding for me personally but I think we are exposed to a lot of different solutions areas in the programme.

Hi I got in to the customer technical solutions one and I'm doing my eligibility test around the 24th. I was wondering whether you guys are regretting your decision. Cause obviously its Microsoft so it's big but its at the university of Staffordshire and compared to a computer sceince degree the digital technology degree isnt as respected. I actually have a pwc offer potentially where I go to Birmingham uni and do PWC internships in a degree apprenticeship fashion and I get a comp sci degree out of it - but I dont really wanna go uni but this pathway gives me more stability - but I want to go into solution architecture, so the Microsoft one aligns with that goal but then less stability due to my educational background - what do you guys think and do you know anyone who is already a Microsoft apprentice who we could talk to??

Congrats on your offer! I honestly don’t want to make the decision for you it’s definitely something to think about. I’d deffo weigh up the pros and cons of both, as in yes one may be more respected as a degree but on the flip side you’re still getting a degree with 0 debt with Microsoft. It really depends on what you want to do in the future, also I know the Microsoft apprenticeship offers a 3 year employment contract after the apprenticeship that’s something to deffo consider. I would suggest emailing the recruiter and asking for more information about the Microsoft course and the PwC course and what you could do with the degree in the future. Perhaps try looking on LinkedIn for someone to connect with, there’s a tiktoker who runs a page called Apprentivia who was an ex-Microsoft apprentice I think you could try and get into contact on LinkedIn (they have a page) to gain connections.

Thanks for the tips - appreciate it! But I don't think they offer a 3 year employment afterwards - that 3 year employment is the apprenticeship after that ends your on your own. There's no Microsoft apprentices on LinkedIn which is a bit annoying cause speaking to someone who has gone through this would be helpful but I'll give that apprentivia a look!

I’m also in a similar position choosing Microsoft or a business degree apprenticeship with Deloitte so let’s hope we make the right decision 😅

Congratulations, I would definitely say go with the Microsoft degree apprenticeship route, as experience>education, do you mind me asking what your predicted grades are? and what a levels you do.
