Primary Education QTS University of Derby

Hi,
Was just wondering if anyone on here does the BEd Primary Education (QTS) course at Derby? I'm looking to start there in September 2024 and wanted a true honest opinion on the course. Been to an open day (I live nearby) and thought it seemed quite good.

Also, do many people at Derby commute, and would you recommend commuting or living in accommodation? I live close enough that I could commute and it would only take me 15 minutes to get there, but worried about the whole missing the experience thing.

hey ive not looked into derby at all so can’t help with that, but for other primary courses ive noticed they mostly seem to say there’s a decent split of commuters and students living away from home, so id assume this would be the same. one option to avoid missing out on the uni experience would be to live in halls for the first year so you can have independence, meet people and experience that side of life then move home for second and third?
