Context meaning?

Hey everyone I’m planning on taking GCSE as a private candidate. The thing is I went on a website fortunately they provide tons of GCSEs, but for the combined science, biology, physics and Chemistry GCSE they put a for example “Biology (Must be carrying forward Practicals)”. I don’t quite get what that. So can someone please help me out explaining this part. Do they mean I need have a past gcse relating those kinda course before taking it again? Because I don’t have any.
For GCSE sciences you have to do required practicals, which I assume this exam centre can’t offer, so they are only able to offer the gcse to those retaking it who have done the practicals at a previous school/centre
