I'd say multiply by 3 then divide by 2 if the question is 2/3x=900

2/3x=900
2x=2700
x=1350

The best way, especially taught in university if you partake a degree in maths, is that you add the numbers in the fraction here to get an idea of the whole number, then multiply by the denominator. This is then multiplied by the number given, out of 10. So, 2+3=5, 5 times 3 =15. Then 900 * 15 = 13500. Divide by 10, = 1350.
