They are protesting for different reasons.
French farmers want more government handouts and to be freer to trash the environment.
British farmers are complaining they got shafted by unfavourable trade deals after some farmers voted for Brexit fully aware that Britain would get shafted by unfavourable trade deals.

Somewhat true. I never brought into the Brexit benefits, I don’t trust USA food standards.
It feels like farmers aren’t supported enough (at least according to them it seems).
