Does anyone else hate facebook?

Every experience in life seems cheapened for an introvert like me.

Friends are not now true friends that mean something, but commodities to be advertised and competed over on a website. :confused:

I hate it! I have an account but I refuse to use it too, much to the annoyance of my friends.

Seriously, the amount of time people spend on it uploading pictures (of themselves no less!) and changing status and stalking people... it is ridiculous!

cheer u mate, facebook is a great way to 1) kill time when you're really bored and 2) fun way to interact with your friends and family both who live near you and on the other side of the world!

I don't believe the problem you're experiencing is with the site, but with some mongs who use it.

Op: I like the site, only add people I know. I always found myspace to be the one that had people competing for friends :P

I had both and deleted both. Complete rubbish. Stick to MSN and actually socialising with friends properly.

Did anyone else suddenly care more about what they looked like in photos since having a Facebook? Or is that just me... :frown:

I think social networking sites have made people more competitive, everything is an announcement. Although I still log in everyday :frown:

I have a love-hate relationship with facebook. It's fantastic for keeping in touch with my friends and family around the world but it also makes me terribly anxious and paranoid. If given the choice, I would probably delete my account but it really is invaluable for keeping in touch with family in Australia.

I have 97 friends all of whom i know but mainly from previous schools and i'm going to delete most of them as they never talk to me anymore. This girl i know has above 900 friends which is just ridiculous you can't know that many people. I would cancel it but it's good to keep in touch with people from my college etc. I hate feeling like i have to check it all the time though :-(
