Why does everyone hate Seven Pounds?

So I just saw this film last night after everyone at school was talking about it and contrary to the "reviews" it got from my friends, I actually REALLY liked it.

I don't know why everyone's hating on this film; it was flawlessly acted, had a captivating storyline and had just the right amount of sentiment without making the film pretentious.

Maybe it was because, after hearing mixed reviews about it, I watched it with low expectations - but regardless, I think it's a pretty good film. Gotta love Will Smith...

Did get the feeling that it maybe was a bit toooo far fetched (but then again it is a film, so that doesn't matter). All in all I thought it made good watching!

Xenomorph v2.1

I liked it, was a very powerful film although I was left feeling quite miserable when it finished due to the sad ending. I think it was directed really well, there was so much ambiguity from the start and really kept the audience wondering.

I haven't seen it, but apparently people hate it because it's very emotionally exploitative. Seems it uses rather cheap shots to get you all welled up.

Can't possibly comment with 100% certainty until I've seen it, though.
