Men will never truly be equal in the eyes of man (you

know what George Orwell says in Animal farm ?) no

matter what, but only in the eyes of God will they be.

My scepticism of what i come across so often has only

been confirmed by all those who say their relatives are

prejudiced/racist.If you are a minority you can tell/feel a

certain vibe from some people (race wise). They don't

have to say anything, you somehow develop a sort

of 'sixth-sense' of picking up this sort of things.

Do any other minorities experience this ?

Maybe I should have said understandably instead of justifiably.

My dads best friend is black, so I guess not. My grandparents aren't racist, they are fairly ignorant though, but that can really be attributed to the Daily Mail.

Black people have a tendency to commit crime. Check out the stats in this thread and the reasonings for it. Thank you.

I feel sorry for the victims. I guess the UK justice system probably gave them a few years in a nice comfy prison

Thats complete and utter rubbish. Your obviously bored and have nothing better to do with your time than spread your little racist views. Go and join the BNP, you'd fit right in.

No. I'm sorry. Is my living in Liverpool racist too?
I wasn`t saying that, I was just interested whether your fathers comment was in reference to Liverpools history in regard to the slave trade. No offence meant.

Yeah sure...

Errr in reference to the 1/3 of Primary School children speak English as a second language, he sarted claiming the majority of them were spongers and a drain on the system etc...

I constitute this as racism, as it generalises all non-english speaking immigrants.

more nationalist than racist? I think there was a recent thread, 'the rasicm card' which dealt with this type of quick assertion for something being racist. Please get the definition of racist right, no matter what YOU deem it to be.
My dad makes lots of racist comments, but he's not malicious and I've just learnt to laugh at it now.
My Dad reminds me everyday - if I marry a white man, he would haunt me from his grave and dis own me! . . . .tbh . . im more inclined to stick with my own colour . . Sorry to generalise, but the white men I have been involved with are just interested in fulfilling their fantasises, ie ''I have slept with a black woman'' . . .I understand that black men could be the same too, ie use me, however I have never dated anyone of the same race as myself.

I think my parent's are justifiably racist towards black people. A group of them did rob our house, stole our car, and rape my 6 year old sister.

My gosh! I don't blame him... And I'm black. That's sick...

It's not justifiable. Did they commit those crimes because of their skin colour of ethnic background? No, they didn't.

They are twisted people with morals different to ours.

"Black people do not have black hearts".
I thought my mum was being racist one day when she said something about going to the paki shop, but when I looked a bit shocked she looked confused and said she used it as an abbreviation. Which is fair enough. Only becomes racist IMO if you pre-fix paki with an insult
My mum's the equality and diversity manager for the RFL, so no.

My dad is a little, and I scorn him for it.

Like a lot of Sikhs, my parents have a slight "dislike" of Pakistanis/Muslims ...

slight :p:
"I'm not racist, but..."

One of my least favourite phrases, after "wake up" and "sorry, we've run out of vodka".

Mine too, a woman I work with says it a lot. She is occasionally accused (rightly ) of being racist by customers, her answer is, "how can I be racist, my sister in law`s a Muslim" lol

I am not attacking your mum, but you'll be surprised with some of these heads/managers of ...xyz.It is just a job to some of them and they could care less for the vulnerable/minorities/marginalized/employees etc and some even have opposite views of the things they advocate for in their jobs.I approach such people with a cautious and open mind as you could find all sorts, agreeing with what you are saying because they have to,but as soon as you leave......... I hate hypocrites.
Yes. I don't know about being programmed by the state though.

But suspicion of authority, and foreigners, is a common characteristic of the disenfranchised.

My parents aren't racist at all, guess my grandparents are a little bit but that comes from their generation.
never say

I hear what you're saying, and it wouldn't surprise me if that was the case. However, she's very much dedicated to the cause of equality. I'd go in to detail as to why, but I feel it wouldn't be a good idea to discuss that on the net.
