I had a problem running the S1 Edexcel CD, as i couldn't find anything that could run .xml, however without giving us much information its hard for anyone here to actually help you.

basically when i clicked on solutions to the questions, a note pad popped up with some weird symbols on it. maybe i need a certain program to run it

Right-click on the program and click on 'Open with...' and try to open it with Internet Explorer, i'm pretty sure that I remember opening it with IE (firefox might work too :smile:
